Original musical satire, courtesy of Chabloz & Menuhin.
For some reason, my audio editing software failed to capture a L/R stereo track with separate channels for vocal and keys.
The audio is therefore mono, meaning less possibilities to edit and remove, for example, plosives and other parasitical noises.
My performance is 100% live, to camera, with the absolute minimum of post-production trickery.
The theme is humorous. No offence is intended towards pet owners or their pets or indeed anyone else. Enjoy!
And another satire to ponder
:
You’ve had the new ultra-infectious ‘UK strain’; the scary South Africa strain and the petrifying South America/ Brazilian strain; but you ‘aint seen nothing yet; just wait ’till the ultra-ultra deadly Outer Mongolian strain arrives!
Haha! Thanks, Peter. Dieudonné is right: all we have to fight back with is laughter through ridicule and satire. What can they do? Invent Covid ‘denial’ laws?
You never fail to put a smile on my face.
Keep fighting the good fight.
I’ve always found yr tenacity inspiring.
Hope you are well.
Best Wishes
Thanks Lucy, glad you’re enjoying the tunes. Music and especially singing are therapeutic in themselves – and good exercise too. Although, today I feel exhausted. There are hours of takes. I could sit and edit, but prefer the authenticity of a full “live” take without too many mistakes.
Hi Alison , this song is wonderful !! .. although I dont understand most of the text – I am German as you know – I love the melody .. its great. .. I posted it to all my fb friends ..
Thank you Eva! It’s a catchy tune, yes, – composed in less than a day. Part of the inspiration is from English pub songs. Perhaps one day, a kind-hearted will translate the lyrics properly into German.
