Second round of appeal: Chabloz vs CPS tomorrow October 31st in London.

Back in court
I’m back in court
Twixt Brexit Day and Halloween
My case will likely go unseen

Back in court
For crime of thought
It’s Halloween, it’s Brexit Day
Good time to throw free speech away..?
pumpkin
Pumpkin soup in prison for Halloween?

Tomorrow’s appeal hearing for my main case will take place at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, Holborn, London WC2A 2LL, Court 1, at 10.30 am. The nearest tube stations are Temple and Holborn.

The two presiding judges are Mr Justice Coulson and Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb DBE.

The official court website also announces that the appeal is by way of case stated. As the judge in my previous Crown Court appeal, HHJ Hehir, originally accepted then declined to state a case, submissions on this issue — as well as the main legal points regards ‘sending’ and, in particular, ‘causing to be sent’ a ‘grossly offensive’ message — should stir plenty of interest.

Several friends and acquaintances have suggested meeting for coffee beforehand. If you are interested, please let me know via the Contact tab.

Coulson actually has a good track record on free speech.

Yes. Perhaps why my case was also assigned to Cheema-Grubb?

Her stony-faced projection cast even more of a chill over the ancient court room..

Cheema-Grubb was harsh on police corruption, perhaps she was “got at”?
